What I made

  • Produced the technical drawings during planning, dimensioned so the parts could be laser cut precisely.
  • Built the material renders in Maya to show the team what the finished device would look like in different woods and finishes.
  • The result: a wooden phone stand with a lens-inspired aperture (two ports that open and close on a lever to boost the phone's speaker) in two magnet-locked halves that close into a carry box.

The two pieces were designed to fit together as a box to be carried around. They also have magnets inside which lock them in place
